AT JOURNEY’S END POLICIES

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Your stay with us includes complimentary coffee and tea. We provide high speed internet and smart TVs.

Rates are based on occupancy regardless of the number of guests the main house or suite will accommodate.

At Journey's End reserves the right to modify room assignment based on occupancy.

No meal option is provided with reservation.

All rates are subject to change, and may change without notice. At Journeys End reserves the right not to honor rates or discounts published on unauthorized third-party sites.

If you require items, such as beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, please inform us prior to your stay, and we will be happy to have these items available during your stay.

Daily housekeeping provided by request.

Room Features
There is central air and heat in the Main House. There are split HVAC units in the Key West & in the Lewis & Clark suites that can be individually controlled.
Flat screen smart television with high speed WiFi, ceiling fan, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body lotion, make-up remover towelettes and a make-up cloth. All bathrooms are en suite and some rooms include balconies or porches.

Parking
Parking is at a premium in historic downtown St. Augustine. We offer complimentary parking for ONE VEHICLE per suite. Park in designated spaces. Please advise us if additional parking is required so that we may recommend alternatives.

CHECK IN CHECK OUT TIME
Check in is 4:00 and Check-out time is 10:00 am. Based on reservations, we will do our best to accomodate early arrival and late departure requests. Please inform staff prior to arrival of your request. Additional fee may apply.

PETS
No pets are allowed in the Main House, however our Key West & Lewis & Clark Suite's -located in the Carriage House, are small- medium dog friendly. Dogs staying with us must have prior approval from the staff. There is nightly pet cleaning fee of $35. Some breeds are restricted. We reserve the right to charge for damage and/or extraordinary cleaning necessitated by having a pet in the room, including evidence of dogs on furniture or beds.
Service dogs are welcomed and accepted as required by law, per the American Disabilities Act. They are required to accompany their owners at owners at times. All service dogs that are left unattended, will be reported to the local authorities. Florida Law 413.08 makes it a crime to misrepresent a service dog.

Maximum Occupancy
Each Carriage House Suite allows for a maximum occupancy of 4 guests.

Each Main House Suite allows for a maxium occupancy of 2 guests.


SMOKING AND DAMAGES
Due to the historic designation of At Journeys End and for the comfort and safety of our guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Inn or in the Carriage House. Smoking is permitted in designated areas. No candles or open flames are allowed in the Inn or in the Carriage House.
Each room is fitted with a smoke detector for the safety of our guests.

CANCELLATION POLICY
At Journeys End is a unique property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. We recognize that plans may change, but because we are a small vacation rental, it is necessary to have a cancellation policy that is similar to comparable lodging facilities. The first night of your stay will be charged at time of booking to guarantee your reservation. In order to cancel your reservation, you must call at least 7 days prior to arrival (14 days prior for reservations during holiday periods* or when 3 or more nights are reserved.) A refund will be issued, minus a $50 cancellation fee per unit, that will be applied as credit towards a future reservation of equal value. In the event that you must cancel with less notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can re-book your room(s), a full or partial refund may be made; otherwise, you will be responsible for the entire balance. By reserving with us, you consent to these policies.

Holidays and Special Event Periods
President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year periods.* This also includes special events when scheduled.

*The Sunday prior to Thanksgiving through to the weekend after New Years Day is considered a "Holiday Period". Any cancellations for reservations that fall within this period must be made 14 days prior to the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

ADA Compliance
At Journeys End is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of this website for all people with disabilities. Over time, we will continue to implement the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA), or such other standards to the extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). On a periodic basis, our website will be tested with assistive technology such as screen readers and screen magnifiers, and by individuals with disabilities who use these technologies.

Though our website is ADA Compliant, it should be noted that our building is not. Guests with wheelchairs or physical disabilities could find it difficult or impossible to use all features.

AUTO-COLLECT
At the time of booking, the first night's rate will be collected. Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected. Applies to: all reservations.


SCHEDULED DEPOSIT
7 days before arrival, 100% of the reservation balance will be collected. If a reservation is booked "last-minute" (within the scheduled time frame), the initial deposit will be collected in addition to the scheduled amount. Applies to: all reservations.


CHILDREN & PETS
Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Pets are welcome. Pets must weigh under 30 pounds. Prior approval of pet is required and only allowed in Lewis & Clark Suite and Key West Suite.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.

TRAVEL INSURANCE As much as we would love to control the weather, flight delays, health issues, and any other unexpected and unwanted travel mishaps, we cannot. Because cancellation fees do apply, we recommend you consider travel insurance. There are many companies that offer this insurance such as Travel Guard, Insure My Trip, TravelInsurance.com, etc. Additionally, AAA, AARP and some credit cards may provide coverage. If you are unable to keep your travel plans and your cancellation falls within the cut-off dates, we will of course attempt to re-book your room. However if we are not successful, your travel insurance may reimburse you for the cancellation fees.

If there is evidence of smoking in the room, a minimum surcharge of $250 for cleaning and all costs relating to the loss of revenue while the room is not available for rent will apply. Additionally you will be asked to vacate your unit immediately without refund. We recognize sometimes accidents are unavoidable and damage might incur. Any costs relating to cleaning, repair, or replacement of damaged items (including pet damage) is the responsibility of the guest. You will be billed all costs relating to damages as well as the loss of revenue while the room is not available for rent. Unfortunately, as a small business, we cannot absorb these expenses. Thank you for your cooperation!

POLICY AND FEES
NO parties and NO unregistered guests are allowed without prior approval. We reserve 10:00 pm to 7:00 am as quiet time at the property. Additional Cleaning: Any additional cleaning beyond normal housekeeping (such as but not limited to wine, make-up, blood, personal stains, food & beverage clean-up) will be billed a minimum charge of $75.00 plus any additional costs as necessary. Please use the provided (labeled) makeup wash cloth to remove your makeup, as we are unable to remove makeup from our quality bed sheets, pillow slips or bath linens. There is a $25 charge for each makeup soiled item.

PET FEE
Pet fee is $35 per night.

MEAL
No meal option is provided with reservation.
